We are very happy to offer a terrific nutritional product for parrots!  We tried every brand of soak 'n cook or instant cook parrot mixes and our birds would not eat any of them...until we found Beak Appetit!  As in humans, your parrot is what you feed him.  Why not provide a wholesome & nutritional meal which is already prepared conveniently for you? The following information is intended to give you a guideline of nutrients provided in the Beak Appetit products:

A very important part of our parrot's diet is Vitamin A.   Birds are chronically deficient in this important antioxidant.  Without vitamin A birds can suffer cell damage, have poor feather quality and loss of color to their feathers.  That's why Beak Appetit's diets provide just that right amount of vitamin A.

The majority of sick birds seen by vets today suffer from malnutrition.  Many of these birds are on a seed only or pellet only diet and their bird owners often did not know that their bird should have a more varied diet.  The Association of Avian Veterinarians recommend that a bird's diet consist of 20% seed, 20% pellets and vegetables, and 60% cooked grains and legume's.

Beak Appetit is so simple & fast to prepare.  Most varieties can be cooked on a stovetop in 15-20 minutes or in the microwave in 12-15 minutes.  One variety calls for you to add the mixture into boiling water (Calypso Spice) and INSTANT MEAL!  We often prepare ours in the evening and refrigerate so that all we need to do is heat & serve in the morning before our busy day begins.  We also add additional bits & pieces of chopped veggies and fruits for added variety although it isn't necessary...our birds just like the variations.  You can cook the entire bag & freeze individual servings for later use or make smaller portions and refrigerate up to 3 days.  Serve only enough that can be consumed within 3 hours.

The following varieties are those that we have tested on our parrots and ended up being their favorites.  Other varieties are available by special request.  If you would like a variety that is not listed here, please email us and we will do our best to get it for you.
